Code of Conduct applicable to Techtrrrs events and communications
The following Code of Conduct is based on the example policy published by the Geek Feminism wiki, created by the Ada Initiative and other volunteers.
Techtrrrs is dedicated to providing a harassment-free event experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, age or religion (or lack thereof). We do not tolerate harassment of event participants in any form. Participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the event at the discretion of the event organisers.
Our Code of Conduct can be found at: http://www.techtrrrs.at/coc
Harassment includes verbal comments that reinforce social structures of domination (related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, age, religion), sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other activities, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention. Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.
Participants include: attendees, coaches, sponsors, organisers, hosts, and everyone else involved in or helping with running the event as well as guests and visitors to the event.
If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the event organisers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender, expulsion from the event or reporting them to local authorities. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of the organising team immediately.
We expect participants to follow these rules at the event venue and all event-related social events. Failing to do so when communicating (online or offline) with other participants prior to the event may result in disinvitation from the event.
At the event, participants will be informed which team members in particular to contact in the case of an incident, and how to contact them directly.
